  1. Grain Bin Cleanout
    • Clean the interior of your grain bin thoroughly. This includes all corners, floors, and walls.
    • Check and clean the inside of the bin roof, as grain dust and mold spores can accumulate there.
    • Vacuum or sweep out any remaining dust or debris.
  2. Check Electrical Connections
    • Visually inspect all wiring and electrical connections for wear or damage.
    • Test all switches and controls to ensure they are working properly.
    • Engage a qualified electrician to replace or repair any faulty connections or components.
  3. Clear Fans and Dryers of Debris
    • Check fan housings for debris, nests, or any blockages.
    • Clean out grain dryers thoroughly, paying special attention to screens and sensors.
    • Make sure to test run fans and dryers to ensure they are working at peak efficiency.
  4. Service Equipment
    • Inspect all belts, chains, bearings, and gearboxes for wear. Replace if necessary.
    • Check the auger flights for wear, paying special attention to intake flights.
    • Lubricate all necessary parts as per manufacturer guidelines.

    • Ensure that rodent control measures are in place and functioning.
  8. Safety Check
    • Check that all safety equipment, such as harnesses and lifelines, are in good working condition.
    • Ensure fire extinguishers are fully charged and easily accessible.
    • Review safety procedures with all staff.
